Italian born Raffaele began painting at a very young age, a hobby that developed into a passionate career.
His strong desire was to represent reality bringing up-to-date the masters of the past with a constant study of colour, composition and light.
Although completely self taught, his technique was enriched and improved by a collaboration with some of the most famous studios in the artistic centre of the old Florence, here he reproduced many of the classical Italian and European masterpieces. This encouraged and inspired his desire for realism and this collection of Venice paintings capture the essence of the romance and tranquility of the backstreets of the city.
Raffaele now lives and works in Pistoia near Florence with his wife, Siriana and his son.
