As a child Nicky spent many happy weekends and summers at her grandparents’ farm in Marlborough and it was there that her love of the natural world, in particular its wildlife, began.Traditional subject matter such as hares, foxes and livestock are at the heart of her paintings, which she creates using a variety of mediums, her favourite being pastel. With a playful use of line and colour she produces delightful, contemporary artworks full of character and charm.
Her artwork is regularly selected for inclusion in the Annual Pastel Society Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
Nicky paints from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley. She can often be found out and about sketching with her companion, Max the dog, by her side.
