Alfredo Navarro

Born on the east coast of Spain in 1965, Navarro considers his technique somewhere between Realism and Hyperrealism. Inspired by his passion for the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic ocean, his seascapes are both wild and serenely tranquil. He captures waves crashing agains rock formations; he paints translucent waves rolling into shore as the evening's sunset pierces through the water.

Alfredo's father, also a painter, taught his son the techniques of oil painting. He studied in Valencia where he received degrees in both economics and Fine art. He then returned to his home town of Alcoy to paint and apprentice under the painter/teacher Selles.
