Stephen was born in Caernarfon in 1959 his work both rural and urban has a distinct and individual style. Partly raised by his grandparents in Anglesey he was encouraged to paint by his aunt and continues to use her pallet knife and brushes maintaining a degree of nostalgia. He is a self taught artist who has become established as one of Wales' leading painters and who is constantly inspired by his surroundings.
