Richard designs and makes a range of ceramics and has worked solely in Raku, an ancient Japanese, method of firing, since leaving college in 1984. 

All of the pieces are made using a combination of hand building and press moulding techniques - a process much preferred by Richard who enjoys the flexibility of constructing a pot from several sections of clay.
