My passion for art spans more than 20 years. Painting from my studio in Utley, in West Yorkshire, my early influences come from the Abstract Expressionism period due to the freedom of expression created by these artists.

Following years of representing nature in abstract form, my work has evolved and I now focus on painting landscape and seascapes in a simple, contemporary style yet at the same time represented realistically.

I love to respond to the challenge of capturing light in each and every scene I paint. Representational in nature, each painting maintains simplicity through clean lines and rich tones, creating an overall impression of calm.
