Ailsa paints using mixed media with her inspiration coming from the ever changing sea shore.

Based on a response to the elements using colour, shape and texture she conveys a composition of expression and atmosphere.
Intrigued by the colours, the refraction and reflection of the light on the sea, she tries to capture the relentless, dramatic movement and unexpected moods of the sea.

Ailsa has lived and worked in Yorkshire all her life.
